Environmental Comments

Offset Alpine Printing prides itself on the environmental record we have developed and maintained throughout the operation of our Lidcombe site.

Our approach to the management of environmental issues is guided by the rules set out in the international standard ISO 14001. Long before obtaining the certification in February 2006, we created an environmental steering committee whose role was to assess our impact on the environment, analyse possible solutions and implement new projects aimed at preventing pollution and reducing use of resources and waste production.

Our achievements, especially in the areas of waste minimisation, water consumption and VOC reduction, resulted in formal recognition by our industry body – The Printing Industries Association of Australia, and in 2007 and 2009 Offset Alpine Printing received Gold in the Business Excellence category for environmental initiatives.
“… in June 2010, Offset Alpine Printing became one of only nine companies
in NSW to achieve the status of a ‘Silver Member’.”
Our participation since December 2008, in the Sustainability Advantage Program run by the NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change and Water, not only motivated us to increase our efforts in existing areas of performance but also led to some new actions.
Our cooperation resulted in many projects and further improvements with regards to the sustainability of our operations.
One year after joining the program, our Company was assessed as meeting all criteria for the Bronze Membership and six months later, in June 2010, Offset Alpine Printing became one of only nine companies in NSW to achieve the status of a “Silver Member”.
In our efforts to ensure we are continuously improving the way we care for the environment, we welcome your enquiries and comments.
